Greetings from downtown Rehoboth Beach.

We are so please to inform you that the Eagle Scouts took our senior center on as their project by landscaping the front of our building.  This group of boys did such a professional job.
Eagle Scout, Jordon Banks, gave a presentation and diagram to our Board of Directors for their approval.  They did an outstanding job and the flower beds looked beautiful when completed.

Well, its vacation time in Rehoboth Beach and needless to say, the shenanigans have begun.  Someone pulled out two bushes that had been planted by the scouts.  It is a shame that some|
people take pleasure in destroying other people’s property.  Need I say more?

I would like to point out that we have a new format for our newsletter.  We all felt that the newsletter had too many pages, and that members were not reading it. So, we decided to make changes.

Bernita Hackney and Peg Connolly have worked really hard in trying to consolidate everything.  They have arranged it so that you can remove the pages with important programs and dates to put
on your refrigerator.  Please let us know if there is anything that you feel needs to be included.  Your constructive feedback will be appreciated.

I hope you all have the opportunity to see our Variety Show that will be held on Saturday, June 26 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, June 27 at 2 p.m.  We feel that it’s going to be an outstanding show.
Tickets are $8 per person for adults.   Children under 10, $4.  So, if you haven’t, purchased your tickets, stop in the Center and purchase them now.

We are in the process of putting a new monitoring system upstairs in our fitness room.  ADT will be installing the equipment for your safety.  We (the staff) will feel more at ease knowing
that we will be able to see everyone that is upstairs.

We are constantly trying to make improvements to our Center that we feel will both beautify and benefit our members.  I think we have made great strides in the last few years.
And, we hope that you feel that way also.

VOLUNTEERISM at CHSC is a good thing!

WOULD YOU LIKE TO VOLUNTEER?  The Center is still looking for substitute afternoon bingo callers once a month.  Also they need waiters, waitresses and cooks for our pancake breakfasts for the months of October, and December.  If you can help please advise Bernita.
